As the good men at Autoblog report, Sebastien Loeb will return for WRC 2016, but he will be in an ownership role of a Junior WRC team. The team will be racing under the banner of Sebastien Loeb Racing, and will be competing in cars based on the Citroen DS3 rally car.
Loeb has seen much success through the years as he attempts nearly every form of motorsport. His prowess showed when he took on GT3 class racing in a McLaren and did exceptionally well- not quite top of the pack, but certainly no slouch given his limited experience for circuit based racing.
Junior WRC is the lowest level in the WRC ladder, below the WRC 3 class. The competition is just as fierce as that of the top tier WRC class, but machinery is far more standardized and toned down to put the focus on driver skill rather than machine performance.
