At next month’s Consumer Electronics Show, we can expect BMW to show off a new ‘vision car’. This new concept will preview how the company believes interiors and user interfaces of the future will look like. While most of the details haven’t been revealed, expect an expansion of BMW’s gesture control. AirTouch will use a multitude of sensors to keep track of hand movements in three-dimensions. Both the driver and front passenger will have access to its use via independent confirmation buttons.
BMW hopes the use of gestures will make control of the cars infotainment and climate controls less of a distraction to the driver and just a lot cooler in general.
