Aston Martin has just announced the appointment of leading luxury car retailer Wearnes as its Kuala Lumpur dealer after the brand was retired by the previous guardian, Berjaya. The move will see Wearnes taking on all sales, aftersales, marketing and brand-building responsibilities for Aston Martin in Malaysia, and comes in the wake of Wearnes opening a new landmark Aston Martin facility in Singapore over the weekend.
The announcement was made just prior to the Malaysia premiere of the new James Bond film Spectre, and guests were able to see the ultra-rare V12 Zagato on display before going on to the national premiere of the latest Bond film.
Aston Martin Asia Pacific Regional Director, Mr. Patrik Nilsson said, “Aston Martin is an iconic marque of unrivalled heritage, and we are pleased to have Wearnes on board with us in Malaysia. Both companies were both established over a century ago, and Wearnes’ expertise in the luxury sector in Southeast Asia will play a key role in the brand’s development in Malaysia.
I am thrilled to be here this evening to be amongst the first people in Malaysia to see the latest Bond film. Aston Martin has a long standing partnership with James Bond, and it is fitting that this new chapter with Wearnes starts on the same day as the film’s premiere here in Kuala Lumpur.”

The current Aston Martin model range comprises the sports focused V8 Vantage, the exhilarating V12 Vantage S, timeless DB9, the world’s most beautiful four door sports car Rapide S, and the ultimate super GT – Vanquish.
Aston Martin’s temporary showroom will be located at 204 Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and will be operational in the near future.
