Nissan to Preview All-New NP300 Navara

Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd (ETCM) today announced that the highly-anticipated All-New Nissan NP300 Navara will be making its way to Malaysian shores next month in November 2015. The NP300 Navara made its world debut last year in Thailand, and has already launched in Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia this year. Most recently, the NP300 Navara was launched in Europe at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The 12th generation, NP300 Navara comes from a long line of Nissan pickup heritage spanning 80 years, as demonstrated in 14 million satisfied customers in 180 countries. Nissan’s legacy of excellence and legendary reliability in this highly demanding segment is unprecedented, and the NP300 Navara scales new heights with its new design, premium comfort and convenience, and advanced technologies. Its dual character offers the flexibility to be sturdy and reliable for work, yet comfortable and spacious for the weekend.

In announcing the coming of the All-New Nissan NP300 Navara, Mr. Tan Keng Meng, Director of Product Planning and Marketing of ETCM said, “We are thrilled to introduce the All-New Nissan NP300 Navara to the Malaysian market, and the NP300 Navara packs a powerful punch with its bold design and innovative features. Every inch of the NP300 Navara was engineered to surpass the challenge of the toughest terrains, while creating a comfortable experience – to make it the ultimate pickup.”

An improved version of Nissan’s 2.5L Diesel YD25 engine under the hood provides a maximum power output of 190 PS and torque of 450Nm/2,000rpm, making it the most powerful pickup in its segment. Together with a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode – the first in its class – the NP300 Navara leads the way with more power and smoother acceleration with better fuel economy.

As the first Japanese pickup with multi-link rear suspension to be offered in Malaysia, the NP300 Navara truly redefines ride comfort. This all-new, durable suspension system enhances driving pleasure through a smoother ride with better handling and stability, bringing SUV-like comfort level even at full load.

From its frontal impressions, Nissan’s design DNA is as distinctive as ever. A first-in-class, full LED Headlamp with boomerang-shaped Daytime Running Light frames Nissan’s signature ‘V-motion’ grille, further emphasising the NP300 Navara’s unmistakable aesthetics. At the back, a new rear spoiler accentuates the sportiness of the NP300 Navara.

Comfort is key for the ultimate pickup, and the NP300 Navara takes its cue from Nissan’s other premium models – Zero Gravity Inspired Seats provides spinal support for the driver and front passenger, while dual zone air conditioning and Rear Air-Conditioning Vent for optimum cabin cooling.

Malaysians eager to get up close to the ultimate pickup are also invited to make their way to Nissan Roadshows happening around the country beginning 15 October 2015 to experience a unique, one-of-a-kind 3D floor art display starring the NP300 Navara.
