Keep your eyes out for this new concept Daihatsu Mira replacement that the company just teased. It’ll likely be shown at the Tokyo Motor show later this month, but here are some photos and details of the car before hand.
The first thing to note that this is just a concept car, so it’s called the ‘D-Base’. At just 340cm x 148cm x 149cm, it’s definitely targeted at city use. Some of the interior and exterior parts seem a bit too over-the-top for a production version, but it looks for the most part ready for the road.
Being a kei car, the engine is expected to be a 660cc 3-cylinder with a consumption rating of about 3 litres per 100km. Also the car comes with a CVT gearbox, lightweight materials and regenerative braking, which explains the low fuel consumption.
