Ford has been busy filming a documentary named “Rebirth of an icon” about its upcoming Focus RS. Today, they released episode one of the series which has WRX champ and superstar gymkhana driver Ken Block taking the vehicle for a drive. The new RS will be equipped with the same 2.3-litre Ecoboost engine found on the base model Mustang. The 350PS and 440Nm of torque it produces allows the sporty hatch to reach 100km/h from a standstill in 4.7 seconds.
Regarding episode 1 of the documentary, Raj Nair, the Vice President of Global Product Development for Ford Group, who goes along for the ride talks about the car’s all wheel drive system and why it was necessary. Watch the clip here:
