He proved his pace early last season with a victory in Perth, and a string of strong performances led to a competitive end to to the year, finishing seventh after a tight fight for fifth in the Championship.
A star in karts, Mostert dominated the field in the 2010 Australian Formula Ford Championship, winning an incredible 10 of the last 12 races in the series.
In 2011 he made his Dunlop Series debut in a Ford with Miles Racing before being snapped up by Prodrive Racing (Australia) after a stellar wet weather drive at Queensland Raceway, claiming a podium and pole position on debut.
In 2012 he competed in the Dunlop Series full-time with PRA, winning two rounds and finishing third in the series behind Scott McLaughlin and Scott Pye. If it had not been for penalty points, he would have been crowned champion.
He began 2013 driving an ex-Mark Winterbottom Falcon for MW Motorsport in the Dunlop Series and won the opening round at Adelaide before receiving a call-up through his PRA links to step up and take over the #12 Falcon at Dick Johnson Racing in the V8 Supercars Championship, where he reaped instant success, taking out a victory in Race 24 at Ipswitch.
