Who invented the mass-produced car? Ford? Maybe, but this company sure has a claim to that title as well. The OTHER pioneering American carmaker, Oldsmobile.
The company was founded 1897 on the 21st of August, and lasted over 105 years before eventually closing down in the early 2000s. It says it did mass production before Ford and has the patent documents to prove it, but some of the other trends it’s responsible for include the use of chrome and automatic transmissions.
