It’s hard to imagine that the words enthusiast and Rolls-Royce could be used in the same sentence, given the current primary demographic for their models, but every year the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club will convene for their annual concours and rally. This year saw over 1000 Rolls-Royce models convening at Burghley House in Stamford, Lincolnshire- a record number for the club to date.
On the part of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars were a few of their current models put on display, with their range of Phantoms, Ghosts, and Wraiths, built at Goodwood. There were also several bespoke models on display, which is perhaps a show of force for Rolls-Royce’s fast expanding bespoke department.
An increasing number of enthusiasts are choosing to purchase a Goodwood-built Rolls-Royce to complement their heritage collections, either commissioning a new motor car or purchasing through the company’s Provenance Programme. This is reflected by the recently launched ‘Goodwood Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Register’, which is now one of the fastest-growing sections of the Club.
