Remember the Alfa Romeo 75 sports sedan? The Italian carmaker sold more than 300,000 units of this timeless sedan globally, making it quite a successful model in the brand’s history. Unfortunately, it was only successful in Alfa Romeo terms as its main rival, BMW had the more popular E30 3-Series which took in more than two million cars, beating its Italian competitor.
The 75 was the last Alfa produced by the company before Fiat took over completely. It was also Alfa’s last rear-drive saloon. Since then a mainstream Alfa never came close to competing with the Germans. Now we wait for the all new Giulia to challenge BMW again.
