Volkswagen will reportedly bring gesture control technology to the facelifted Golf, which ought to come to the market next year.
Volkswagen’s head of powertrain development, Dr. Heinz-Jakob Neuser, that the updated 2016 Golf will be the first car in its class to feature a gesture control system, a piece of technology Volkwagen previewed on its GolfR Touch concept. The concept was first shown in January of this year at the Consumer Electronics Show.
In all likelihood, the system will consist of 8 pieces, which include three displays, one of which is the fully digital instrument cluster, and five sensors located in the cabin. Expect a large 13 inch touch screen to fit in the centre console.
