Today, Isuzu, motoring journalists and enthusiasts say farewell to two of Isuzu’s top men, Daisuke Ishida and Yasuhiko Oyama. Both Mr. Ishida and Mr. Oyama are returning to their home country of Japan in order to continue to keep pushing their illustrious careers. Mr. Ishida while COO and Mr. Oyama, as General Manager of Isuzu Malaysia achieved a great number of successes during their time in Malaysia.
They were key in making the D-Max pick-up truck the enormous hit that it is, consistently outselling almost every one of its competitors due to its reliability, robust build and great value for money.
They were also the ones responsible for ensuring Isuzu Malaysia’s commersial trucks division remained as competitive as ever.
More recently, under their guidance, Isuzu Malaysia pushed for the introduction of the MU-X here, one of the first passenger-focused Isuzu products to hit our shores in decades. 7-seating SUV is just days away from being launched, and to ensure its success, Hajime Machimura and Yosuke Sagara will be assuming the positions of Senior General Manager and General Manager respectively.
