When Kawasaki first started taking orders for its Ninja H2, the response was nothing less than overwhelming, with the entire batch being sold before even the media could get their hands on it for testing. They couldn’t even offer the bike to potential customers who saw it on the Progressive International Motor Show series.
As a result, Kawasaki Motors of the US asked their Japanese owners to put the street legal superbike back into limited production for a second time to give North American customers another opportunity at owning it.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is built in the same special facility as the track-only Ninja H2R and shares the same supercharged 998cc I4 supercharged engine with it. Both bikes also have a trellis frame and single-sided swingarm, which is a first for a production Kawasaki bike.
Its looks are another great selling point to the H2 – the way it looks. That black paint that goes on that beautiful wind-tunnel-sculpted body it isn’t merely metallic; it’s almost mirror-like. The individually built single-seater superbike goes on sale in the America for US$25,000.
