In an effort to promote Hyundai’s flagship in the U.S., the Genesis, the company devised a very ingenious idea – they sent a message to space.
A small fleet of Genesis sedans, 11 in total, drove in a tightly coordinated pack around a large swatch of barren land. Equipped with special, off-road tyres, the cars accurately imprinted a daughter’s message to her astronaut father, who managed to snap a picture of it while orbiting the Earth.
So exactly how big was the image? Just over 5.5 square kilometres. Here’s the video, which will help put that size into perspective. It helps that it’s actually pretty heart-warming as well.
