Fredrik Sørlie is one of those drivers that remained largely off the radar, until he achieved minor stardom with his “Bring back the Touge” video a few years ago. It featured him and his Cressida tearing up a stretch of mountainous B-Road, keeping the car sideways for the majority of the time. The popularity of the video shot him into the limelight, although he’s been active in the motorsport scene for many years prior, as he has close ties to Fredric Aasbo.
The second video that really sealed his status as a skilled drifter was his Nurburgring Nordschleife drift video. This proved to be a more public spectacle, as not only did he have a set of videos showing in car perspectives, but a number of spectators uploaded their own films as well. He quickly went viral as the big man sliding around the Green Hell in a classic car.
This time around, he swaps out the tarmac for some snow. Once again featuring that Toyota Cressida that we all know and love, he slips and slides through the trees with a lovely co-pilot providing him with pace notes, rally style. It’s the kind of thing we all wish we could go out and do on a Saturday.
