Photographs from China show Audi’s design direction for its 2016 A4. The images show a much more aggressive look on the front fascia. The headlight unit features LED turning signals and a L-shaped angular look with its DRLs integrated within. The already oversized Audi front grille gets even larger and has sharper kinks in it, putting it slightly more in line with the Audi Prologue’s design, though there are some obvious differences.
The spy shots of the interior show that the A4 will receive a complete design overhaul on the inside. The new centre console features a brand new gear shifter and infotainment system control.
Audi have planned for a full reveal later this year, sometime between August and September, right before the car debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The A4 is built on a new generation MLB platform that cuts a hundred kilogrammes. There are petrol, diesel and hybrid engines planned, including a TDI e-tron version.
