Rezvani Motors, a small California based car company has released an image of their production version Beast, which is set for a 2016 launch following its full reveal this May.
Thankfully, there are also a number of concept renderings of the car. Designed by the man behind the Aston Martin DBC and Ferrari Xerzi concepts, Samir Sadikhov, the Beast will be based off of the Ariel Atom, but will feature a lot more body panels to give it a more road-going look.
There are a few details to play around with while we wait for the car to be fully revealed. First off is the car’s targeted weight of 666 kilograms. We see what you did there, Rezvani.
Of the two engine choices being offered, the weaker Beast 300 comes with a 2.0 turbo producing 315 bhp. It will be able to hit 100 km/h in just under 3 seconds. That’s not bad at all, even after considering that the more expensive Beast 500 with its 2.4 litre supercharged engine will do the same in 2.7 seconds.
The larger motor does add a bit more weight and throws off the whole ‘number of the Beast’ approach you get with the base model. Expect the car to come with a 6-speed manual transmission with an LSD in its rear-wheel drive layout.
