Indian Motorcycle has unveiled its newest 2016 model-year full-size cruiser called the 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse. The Indian Chief Dark Horse is unlike anything else currently available from Indian Motorcycle, as its name, the new aggressive cruiser features dark matte paint and minimalist profile, while it features the best traits with other models in Indian’s Chief platform.
Built upon the successful Indian Chief platform, the Indian Chief Dark Horse is powered by a Thunder Stroke 111 air/oil-cooled 49-degree V-twin engine that is mated to a six-speed transmission, and has a claimed torque of 119.2 pound-feet at 3000 rpm. Moreover, the Chief Dark Horse is the lightest and fastest model in the Chief series, thanks to its new cast wheels. The cruiser has the same chassis and suspension of the Indian Chief Classic, along with other features such as keyless ignition, electric cruise control, ABS, but it lacks the analogue fuel gauge, oil cooler and driving lights.
The Dark Horse weighs 751 pounds, about 27 pounds lighter than the standard 2015 Chief.
The 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse full-size heavyweight American cruiser comes with a black 26-inch-high solo-seat, with passenger seats are available as an accessory.
