Jim Glickenhaus is a very successful businessman and spends his leisure time playing around in his garage; home to some of the rarest and priceless supercars. He is the brains behind the Ferrari P4/5 and P4/5 Compitizione and now he has created his own supercar brand.
He calls it the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) 003. Unlike the previous two Glickenhaus designs, the complete car has been built in house; interestingly, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) 003 is a road car as well as racer – the modular design allows for different engines to be transplanted for different purposes.
Glickenhaus plans to show the car at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, and then go racing at the 24hrs of Nurburgring. It is a racecar which he syas will be featured in the 24 hours of Nurburgring race.
Playing alongside the German heavyweights won’t be easy but he is determined to put on a strong show and chase his dream of creating a racecar which you could drive back home after the race.
Something which got lost due to introduction of various safety rules and regulations for the road. To participate in the race, the car needs to have a road legal version and hence Glickenhaus will homologate the 003 and produce a limited run of supercars, preferably around 25 units.
