Nippon Paint Malaysia recently stepped up its game with its Automotive Colour Trend Showcase, unveiling 40 brand new supporting colours set to lead the automotive colour trend in 2015 and 2016.
The 40 automotive colours forecasted to trend for the next 24 months were derived from nine trending decorative colours palette by Asian industry professionals at the Asia Pacific Chromazone Colour Forecasting Workshop earlier last year, creating the first Asian Palette for Asia which was unveiled at Nippon Paint’s inaugural ‘Trend Beyond Colours’ initiative.
Available in multiple finishes including; metallic, pearl and solid, the 40 trending automotive colours sit within three palette categories. ‘Just Me’, ‘Sacred Love’ and ‘Revo-Evolution’ – these themes represent the evolving socio-ecological consciousness sweeping across Asia today, promoting Asian sentiments as well as diversity.

The ‘Just Me’ theme represents individualism and is ideal for compact cars, while ‘Sacred Love’ resonates the user’s love for nature and appeals to hybrid cars. On the other hand, ‘Revo-Evolution’ reflects the era of transition and is accompanied well with MPVs and sedans.
