Inspired by Nissan Juke success on the market, Korean lifestyle vehicle manufacturer SsangYong is preparing to launch its own B-segment SUV. The car was already anticipated by different crossover concepts, one of them the X100, but none revealed the name of the future car.
Today, the South-Korean manufacturer announced, through the voice of Yoo Il Lee, SsangYong CEO, that the future SUV will be called Tivoli. The car is under development for three years and will be ready to be introduced on the market in January 2015. First on the list will be the Korean market and globally during the second quarter of 2015.
Along its name, SsangYong has also revealed the latest rendered images of the car’s exterior and interior.
The exterior features the lines of a dynamic, urban SUV with a modern silhouette and SsangYong’s new design language.
Inside the car, SsangYong promises easy connectivity to IT devices, style, practicality and plenty of storage space. The new car takes its name from Tivoli, the Italian town near Rome with a reputation for style. Noted for its cultural heritage and beautiful location, the gardens at Villa d’Este have inspired many others to use the name, including the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen.
