The Beetle 1.2l TSI Design comes with the ‘RCD 310’ radio system with single CD player, Bluetooth, USB adapter cable and 8 speakers. The Beetle 1.2l TSI Sport on the other hand is further equipped with the ‘RCD 510’ touch screen radio system with 6 CD changer, USB adapter cable, SD-card slot, Bluetooth and 8 speakers, sport seats with “Vienna” leather upholstery, lumbar support, ‘Climatronic’ air conditioning system with 2-zone temperature control, along with paddle shift and cruise control.
The latest version of the Volkswagen Beetle may be packed with new and exciting features inside and outside, but the cabin remains a great place to be in a traffic jam or when cruising on the open highway. In heavy traffic in the city, the hill hold function adds to the ease of driving, automatically holding the car when stopping for short periods in stop-start traffic as well as on any incline.
The seats in the Beetle are large and supportive, and getting to the back seat is no problem thanks to both the easy-entry sliding front seats and the long front doors. Another nice feature is the height-adjustable armrest that separates the two front seats; it is well positioned that it does not hinder the smooth-operating traditional handbrake.
Those travelling in the back seats are far more comfortable than in previous older Beetle, with decent shoulder room and ample space for feet and knees. Plus you can rest your head on the headrest without touching the headlining. And despite the tapering rear windows, it’s agreeably airy travelling in the back as the cabin is now larger and better designed.
The Beetle 1.2l TSI Design is priced at RM131,888 and RM142,888 for the 1.2l TSI Sport.
