The new Lamborghini Huracán GT3 rolled out on track for the first time in Vallelunga (Rome), testing on the “Piero Taruffi” circuit. Under the supervision of Giorgio Sanna, the two official Lamborghini Squadra Corse test drivers Adrian Zaugg and Fabio Babini, set up the new race car for the first time. With the Huracán GT3, Lamborghini Squadra Corse has taken the next step towards development and production of a race car for one of the most demanding and prestigious international categories.
The Huracán GT3 marks Lamborghini’s first complete in-house production of a GT3 car, drawing on the support of Dallara Automobili that is also partner in the Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo’s development. Starting from the 2015 season, the Huracán GT3 will be among the protagonists of the Blancpain Endurance Series, which is anticipated to race at five venues in Europe including the famous 24hrs of Spa. In 2016 the new car from the House of the Raging Bull will also line up at the most important North American and Asian race meetings.
