Vespa Primavera Launched By NAZA Premira @ RM11,888.00

NAZA Premira Sdn Bhd, the sole and official importer and distributor of Vespa scooters in Malaysia, introduced the Vespa Primavera – a brand classic with a refreshed look. Present at the official launch were Mr. Brendan Ang, Area Sales Manager, Piaggio Asia Pacific, Mr. Abdul Hamid Ismail, Senior Vice President, NAZA World Group of Companies, Mr. Zakaria Ismail, Senior Vice President, NAZA World Group of Companies and Mr. Farouk Faisal, General Manager of NAZA Premira Sdn Bhd.

The Vespa Primavera, originally launched into post-war Italy in 1968, was the scooter that brought a breath of fresh air to a changing world in the form of stylish mobility. It went on to become one of the most admired and enduring models in the brand’s history; also making Vespa into the worldwide phenomenon that it is today. Now the legendary two-wheeler has returned to delight a whole new generation of scooter enthusiasts.

The new Primavera sports a more streamlined look with key elements echoing the image of the stylish Vespa 946. Youthful, innovative, swift and dynamic, the Primavera combines the most advanced Piaggio technology with a host of contemporary features to offer a gleaming new design that fits hand in hand with this model’s story.

Vespa Malaysia is proud to announce that in celebration of this iconic model’s return, we are introducing a 1 year or 10,000km warranty specifically applicable for the Vespa Primavera. “To date, we have 9 dealer networks in Peninsular Malaysia that comply with the Piaggio Corporate Identity (CI) and we aimed to add on another 11, making it of 20 dealer networks across Malaysia,” Datuk Wira SM Faisal furthered.

The Primavera is powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder 3-valve engine with electronic fuel injection, a new bore and stroke and friction-reducing crankshaft. The result of which, is significantly improved engine efficiency, fuel economy, torque and acceleration.  The new engine mounting system with 2-position arms and a double rubber absorption damper makes the Primavera an exceptionally smoother ride with a notable reduction in vibrations (approximately 40% less).

The steel sheet bodywork provides a level of rigidity previously unseen without compromising the weight of the structure.  An increased wheelbase and length enhance stability whilst also retaining the Primavera’s characteristic lightweight steering and agility. Increased space between the handlebar and saddle as well as an adjusted saddle height, improve the riding position whilst the flat two-seat saddle is now also more comfortable and practical.

Piaggio made safety a key concern when designing the new Primavera. The new model features LED daylight running lights and improved suspension. A button above the glove box raises the seat to reveal a compartment for a generously proportioned full-face helmet – leaving no excuse for riders not to have one.

Understanding that fashion is just as important a consideration as functionality when it comes to vehicle design, Piaggio placed great emphasis on the Primavera’s refined look – managing to make it look both traditional and new at the same time. This model takes styling hues from an all-time favorite, the Vespa 946 – such as the sleek lines and tapered rear.

With a legacy spanning 68 years, Vespa epitomizes true Italian style and sophistication, has changed habits of city transportation and is now a citizen of the world with millions of its products distributed on five continents.

The Vespa Primavera is available in 4 colors which are Rosso Gragon (Red), Monte Bianco (White), Nera Vulcano (Black) and Azzurro Marichiano (Light Blue) at the basic selling price of RM 11,888.
