Johnnie Walker’s “I am not driving” campaign will continue this year, only this time the Scotch Whisky brand has announced they will join forces with Uber. But don’t worry, nobody is driving under the influence. In the preparing of this year’s Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, the alcoholic beverage maker is giving away 10,000 km of safe rides home from September 10 to the 21st 2014.
Supported by McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 drivers Jenson Button and Kevin Magnussen, the campaign also offers up to USD3,000 in Uber credit that will be given away to consumers who pledge to never drink and drive. All you have to do is visit their Facebook page and make the promise.
Moreover, if you’re lucky enough you can also get an Uber ride home in a McLaren 650S or an afternoon with McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 drivers.
“This year, we’re reinforcing our commitment to this cause and honoring fans that show their support for responsible drinking by delivering 10,000 km of safe rides home with Uber. Be offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences like a free ride home in a McLaren 650S sportscar, we hope to encourage as many people as possible to think about the importance of drinking responsibly and make their pledge to never drink and drive,” Apurvi Sheth, Managing Director Emerging South East Asia and Joint Ventures at Diageo explained.
