You have probably admired the looks of the Porsche Panamera on the road since its launch, but have you ever taken a look inside? Let us explain and show us why you have missed out.
This new Panamera comes with a host of features as standard equipment, including electric sun roof, Porsche Communication Management plus Navigation, BOSE sound system and Park Assist with reverse camera, but there is more that gets missed out on first impression.
Its cockpit-like design, truly exceptional quality and supremely comfortable seats make it feel special. The low slung nature of the car means getting in and out feels like a real sport car and yet it is roomy. Once inside the front seats are supremely comfortable and even your passengers will be comfy in the back too with its new extended 15 cm longer wheelbase which offer more rear seating space and even better ride comfort.
The mix of exclusivity, high quality and sportiness is also apparent in the Panamera’s interior. The driver and front seat passenger sit on exclusive, eight-way electrically adjustable sports seats. The rear seats with their single seat styling offer rear passenger’s outstanding support when the driver starts executing fast corners.
Passengers at the rear of the Panamera Turbo S Executive travel in even greater luxury: the single seats have an extra 4.7 inches of space in the footwell; all seats offer active ventilation and the electronic roll-up sunblind enables greater privacy. Both rear passengers are protected by side air bags. The standard three-stage control of seat ventilation, with separate front and rear control, assures seating comfort that can be optimally adjusted year round. The four-zone automatic climate control system provides a high level of personal travel comfort with climate zones that are individually adjustable at each seating location.
Besides offering additional storage space and an armrest, the large centre console also has a 230 Volt accessory outlet (or 110 Volt depending on the specific market). This lets rear passengers charge electronic devices during the drive or supply power to them directly from the electrical system. Electric roll-up sun blinds for the side windows and the rear windscreen offer additional sun protection and privacy as needed. The Panamera Executive models are further differentiated by “executive” signatures applied in the rear seating area and on the brushed aluminium door sill guards. The interior is rounded out by leather upholstery in one of five standard colours.
The Porsche Panamera comes equipped with the latest generation of audio and communication systems. The Burmester High-End Surround Sound audio system offers superior total output and sound quality. The performance figures demonstrate this to impressive effect: 16 individually controllable loudspeakers, including a 300 watt active subwoofer with Class D output stage and 250 millimetre diameter membrane, 16 amplifier channels and a total output of more than 1,000 watts. The acoustically effective total membrane area is in excess of 2,400 cm2.
