With a winning formula of engine technology, a CVT gearbox and strong lightweight chassis, the Mirage is once again the top winner in the compact car segment. Being part of Mitsubishi’s strategy to capitalize on the constantly growing compact market, the new Mirage, which is an “eco” car, was built with class-leading fuel economy in mind. Although these figures might suggest that the Mirage is a humble car in terms of performance, the Mirage, which weighs only 860kg, is actually a very nippy, fun city car. Power is supplied by a 1.2-litre DOHC MIVEC engine that produces 76hp and 100Nm of maximum torque, with two transmission choices (CVT or manual).
