The iconic Mitsubishi Evo was born in the world of rallying, but Mitsubishi has left the rally stage for some time now and is currently in the midst of a rebranding process that should see it become an eco vehicle maker.
For the last few years, various Mitsubishi officials have given us their explanations of why the current Evo ‘10’ is the last of petrol-powered the supercar-hunting sedans. Of course here is where the speculation begins, with the assumption that Mitsubishi still wants the Evo to be a halo car, but will give it hybrid power.
Then there was the rumor that the Mitsubishi 3000GT sports car will be revived. Then there is the Mitsubishi limited edition FQ-440 MR which puts out an awesome 440ps right out of the showroom. So, which was will Mitsubishi steer its performance division? We wait patiently and see.
