When I was a young boy I remember waiting for the circus to come to my part of town every school holidays. Growing up in the older part of PJ, we had the local circus doing its state by state rounds every year with new attractions every year or so.
There were always games on the outside, the mandatory Ferris wheel and the abundance of junk food. But it was under the ‘Big Top’ that excited us. Entry was never cheap but my parents never failed to take me to enjoy the many acts that trilled and excited me (even if I had seen them a dozen or more times).
Fast forward to 2014 and I am now a dad now with 2 young boys. The ‘regular’ circus has gone missing and we city folk are taking up by our super busy daily routines that we often forget what our kids really need. Some old fashioned excitement, the circus.
Yes, the circus has been missing from Klang Valley and every school holidays, my kids are pre-occupied with online computer games and the idiot box. The LED screen has taken over the ‘real’ world and we will soon not have it at all. Or not?
Well the circus is in town, the Le Tresor Circus and we took our kids for the opening night which was on the 5th of June 2014. The show started at 10pm and for 90 minutes my 2 boys and my wife and I were entertained by jugglers, trapeze artists, a hysterical funny man called Billy, a hula hoop lady with moves that will make Shakira look like an amateur and much more.
Non-stop action and entertainment with stunts, actions and comedy that had us thoroughly entertained.
You cannot miss this and this, even if you have no kids you will enjoy this better than ‘hanging out’ in a bar or club. Go to ticketpro to get your tickets or call03-7880 7999 as the Circus is in town until the 15th of June 2014 at the Mutiara Park (right behind IKEA and Kidzania and or in front of the DIALOG and Cycle and Carriage building), yes there is park there, we never knew also. There are 2 shows daily. 4pm and 8pm.
