Hap Seng Star has launched the first Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in the southern Klang Valley. Located prominently in Balakong, the RM60 million facility raises the standards in automotive showrooms and customer service even further, with an impressive built-up area of 140,000 sq ft. The new Autohaus is strategically close to major highways and affords it a large catchment area consisting of Seri Kembangan, Serdang, Sg. Long, Kajang and Bangi.

Sitting comfortably on 4.66 acres of land, the Hap Seng Star Balakong Autohaus has been built to provide extensive sales and service coverage, with every amenity and comfort specially tailored for its distinguished clientele. It is operated by a 45 person strong team and has a capacity to service more than 30 vehicles per day. In addition, the showroom adheres to the Mercedes-Benz Presentation System II (MPS II) which is the benchmark of customer experience for each Autohaus. As part of Mercedes-Benz commitment to quality and superior service, the Hap Seng Star Balakong Autohaus features a one-stop solution for customer convenience. From personalised service when inspecting their vehicles, to interacting one-on-one with a Service Advisor on necessary vehicle repair and maintenance work, customers can expect to do it all in comfort as even the Service Reception Inspection Bays areas are fully air-conditioned.
The new Hap Seng Star Autohaus features an extensive range of after sales services, and repairs, with body and paint works repairs soon to be included. All technicians are Mercedes-Benz certified and able to provide exceptional repair methods with the latest equipments. Furthermore, employees at the Autohaus practice Mercedes-Benz’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI), a business practice that incorporates sustainability within economic activities for the community. Within the next few months, Hap Seng Star has planned for the expansion of its workshop operations, specifically for Body and Paint services at its Balakong facility. It was not a good experience thus far.
I sent May car on 29th nov last week while on my way to the Columbia Asia hospital. At first, the intent is to check the engine light that appear in the console but it end up with a week of working by the staff (mr beh). Upon checking, he quoted some price but I mentioned that it was under warranty and he double check the status. It was only on Tuesday he confirm that the car warranty was revoked as I have resolve for an outside workshop in kuala Terengganu. (I was having same issue on engine light appearing in console but just because I was away from KL and the dealer in K. Terengganu was closed on public holiday, the warranty revoked). I decided to repair anyway and the parts only arrive on Friday and I’m still await the car at the moment. In summary, below are the itinerary:
29-11 :sent in car
30-11: Sunday
1-12: check warranty
2-12 : confirm warranty revoked
3-12 : confirm to repair at cost 1566
4-12 : check spare part and order
5-12 : spare part arrive and perform job
6-12 : suppose to return car. Final cost 1676
I’m disappointed with the situation. Not only warranty revoked because of simple mistakes that I did, but the processes is too long and take time. I would like to appeal on the basis that I go to outside workshop because I was away from KL and the agent in K. Terengganu was closed. I seek to get compensation as I cannot use the car in a week time as well.
