Honda has decided that this 5-door concept should be the car to be launched in China before it is seen in other markets like ASEAN. The Honda Concept B Hybrid looks more like the all new Jazz/Fit with a boot. It is said to be powered by a hybrid powertrain that incorporates a 1.5-liter four-cylinder VTEC engine and a seven-speed DCT. Honda is keen to introduce hybrid technology to the Chinese market, where regulations are clamping down on fuel economy and emissions limits. This car will also be available with a choice of CVT or dual-clutch transmissions, stop-start tech and Honda’s other ‘Earth Dreams Technology’ engine technology.
The Concept B itself is aimed at younger customers, with a sporting, dynamic five-door liftback body style. The look is a lot more striking than Honda’s existing Civic, while a long list of upscale features, including a head-up display and lane departure warning, will probably be included.
