Long-time partners Motul and Subaru Tecnica International (STI) will once again team up in 2014 for Japan’s leading Super GT championship and the demanding 24 Hours Nürburgring.
During the recent Tokyo Auto Salon, STI displayed their race-bred machines, namely the Subaru BRZ GT300 and the all-new Nürburgring-prepped Subaru WRX STI. And showing both the French’s and Japanese’s commitment to their strong partnership, Motul’s 300V was displayed together with an STI-tuned powerplant.
This year’s entry will be STI’s 7th consecutive year that they are present in the 24 Hours Nürburgring. The team is aiming for their 3rd victory in the SP3T class and will be led by team manager Hideharu Tatsumi.
After an outstanding season that saw five poles in eight races and one class win, the Subaru BRZ GT300 will once again participate in this year’s Super GT. As in previous years, the team will be operated in conjunction with R&D Sport with Kouta Sasaki and newly joined Takuto Iguchi as drivers.
