Hyundai has just unveiled its new Accent compact sedan in India. However the car will be named as the ‘Xcent’ for the Indian market. It shares its underpinnings with the all new i10 supermini.
It is expected to compete with the Honda Amaze, Tata Zest and the Maruti Suzuki Swift in the Indian market but for the Malaysian market, if and when it arrives, it will compete with the Mitsubishi Attrage and Mazda2.
Swept back headlamps, diamond cut alloy wheels, hexagonal airdam, wide daylight opening area, rear chrome garnish, wrap around taillamps with chrome inserts and kick up trunk lid design are the exterior highlights.
This Accent will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options, mated with both manual and automatic transmissions.
The interior will feature dual tone beige and black interiors including seats, multiple storage options on the door trims and center console, rear aircon vents, smart key with push button start, electro chromic mirror with rear camera display, fully automatic aircon, rear parking sensors and camera, 2-DIN audio with USB and 1 GB memory, auto folding mirrors, one-touch electric trunk opening, steering mounted controls with Bluetooth, glovebox cooling and rear armrest cup holder. Safety features include ABS, dual airbags, rear parking assist and rear defogger.
