The Reiter Engineering developed Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3, which has already demonstrated its race and championship-winning prowess in Europe, Asia and South America, now aims to collect the winner’s spoils on the North American race tracks. Reiter Engineering has therefore homologated the Gallardo for the Pirelli World Challenge and plans to excel in the field of GT cars on the series’ 25th anniversary.
The GT3 version of the Gallardo will compete in largely unmodified form in the GT class of the Pirelli World Challenge, where it will face up to competitors like Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin, Corvette or Audi.
The Pirelli World Challenge 2014 consists of nine race weekends in the USA and Canada with 16 sprint races on the NASCAR and IndyCar support program. Every race will be broadcasted live on TV via the NBC Sports Network as well as online at www.world-challenge.com as live stream. In 2013, more than 1 million people followed the Pirelli World Challenge live at trackside.
With over 100 cars sold, over 200 race victories and over 400 podium positions, the REITER Gallardo GT3 is one of the most successful GT3 cars since the class was founded. The endurance capability of the REITER GALLARDO GT3 racecar has now finally been demonstrated in 2013 with victory in the Dunlop 12h of Hungary in Budapest, the runner-up title in the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race (12h of Merdeka) and the title in the 6h of Rome at Vallelunga and 7th place in the Gulf 12h of Abu Dhabi.
