Perodua is offering assistance to the recent flash flood victims in Rawang by offering rebates for towing services, discounts on selected parts and free inspections to determine the amount of damaged done to a Perodua vehicle due to the flood.
“The assistance we are providing is to alleviate some of the hardships that the victims are facing at the moment,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said.
Perodua customers, whose vehicles are affected by the floods, are encouraged to call Perodua’s toll free customer care line at 1800-88-6600 for information and for those seeking towing services can call Perodua Smart Assist at 1800-88-5555.
On the towing assistance given, Aminar said that customers can claim up to RM100 from Perodua (terms and conditions apply).
Perodua is also offering a 20% discount on selected parts to Perodua owners that are affected by the flood. These items include electronic items, carpets, vehicle seats, door trims and engine overhaul gaskets.
“In addition to the Rawang victims’ flood assist programme, we have also sent aid to the flood victims in the East Coast that were hit hard a few weeks ago.”
“So far we have contributed a total of RM150,000 in cash and kind to the victims in Kuantan and Kemaman as well as mobilised our Perodua volunteers to assist the authorities in a few of the affected areas,” Aminar said.
He said that among the victims were also Perodua staffs which the company is giving special assistance to help them recover from the disaster.
