The 2014 City follows Honda’s new design philosophy – “EXCITING H DESIGN!!!” and is based on the 2014 Jazz/Fit.
The fourth-generation City sedan will be sold in 55 countries and India is the 1st country to have it ready for sale. Honda did not reveal the price details for the ASEAN markets. This all new City sedan packs a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine which churns out a power of 120bhp. There is also a new diesel which will not be introduced in Malaysia due to our low diesel fuel quality.
The length of the new City is same as its current City model, but its wheelbase has been increased by 50mm. Also, the leg room and height have been raised by 60mm and 10mm, respectively. The car boasts a 24 percent improvement in structural rigidity as compared to the old car. There’s new MacPherson struts for the front suspension, while the rear gets an H-shape twist-beam suspension. Honda also claims that the brakes have been tuned to provide better feel.
The City’s cabin comes with a new 5-inch LCD display with Bluetooth and rear-parking camera function, steering mounted audio controls, touch-screen AC panel, start/stop function, rear AC vents, eight speakers, four charging points, and cruise control.
