The Race official and the organiser has decided to cancel the Round 3 of the Malaysian Super Series with the steward approval which is scheduled for today and tomorrow, to be cancelled. The decision was undertaken in view of a race incident at the end of the morning practice session which resulted in serious injuries to one of our race marshal. Upon impact from the incident, the marshal was immediately treated on track by our medical team and later rushed to Putrajaya Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to the serious injuries. The incident is currently being investigated and a police report had been made in regard to the subject. Sepang International Circuit expressed their deepest condolences to the family and our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time. Sepang International Circuit will be extending its support and assistance to the family of the deceased.
