Honda and McLaren are in a Formula 1 agreement, but the two companies are already looking at automotive technology to reach the consumer in the very near future. This was revealed recently when Honda started using the McLaren 12C as the benchmark for the all new NSX supercar.
McLaren’s road car strategy doesn’t involve any other automotive partner for now. Still, don’t expect to see any results of Honda’s involvement in future McLaren road cars as it will take some years before this collaboration sees showroom action. Currently, McLaren is now working on its third model, a vehicle that will take on the Porsche 911 head on in all areas. This new car is dubbed P13.
