This is the all new 2014 Audi A8. This facelift made its debut yesterday morning and as expected, the flagship sedan showed its new and innovative matrix LED headlights. In terms of design there is no radical change and instead this 2014 A8 Facelift comes with more sculptured singleframe grille, engine hood and front bumper and the LED headlights are now standard in all models powered by a V8 engine. As an option, the headlights featuring the Matrix LED technology are available. The signature Matrix LED headlights use 25 individual light-emitting diodes per unit that can be switched on and off or dimmed individually depending on the situation. The rear LED lamps were also redesigned and they are flatter now. All the A8 models now feature two rhomboid tailpipes, except the S8, which features four tailpipes. New chrome strips and high-gloss black window frames round out the differentiating design details. There is a choice of twelve colors, including five new ones. Wheels are available in sizes up to 21 inches.
Dimensions remain unchanged and the 2014 A8 has a length of 5.14 meters, wheelbase of 2.99 meters, a width of 1.95 meters and a height of 1.46 meters. This new A8 comes into the German market with two gasoline and two diesel engines. There is a supercharged 3.0-liter TFSI engine with 310hp, a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with 435hp, a fuel-efficient 3.0-liter TDI engine with 258hp and the high-torque 4.2-liter TDI clean diesel with 385hp and 850Nm of torque which will not see an introduction in Malaysia due to our diesel quality.
Paired with the Quattro all-wheel drive, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. Still, the most fuel-efficient engine is the 3.0 TDI clean diesel, which needs only 5.9 liters of diesel per 100km and emits only 155 grams of CO2 per km.
The 2014 Audi A8 Hybrid Facelift is powered by the 2.0 TFSI engine paired with an electric motor for a total output of 245hp and a system torque of 480Nm. The lithium-ion battery in the rear enables purely electric driving at up to 100km/h with a range of roughly three kilometers. The A8 hybrid consumes on average just 6.3 liters of fuel per 100. The new A8 comes as standard with the eight-speed tiptronic transmission.
A plalginsey rational answer. Good to hear from you.
