PROTON has unveiled its most affordable Proton to date, the Proton Saga Super Value (SV). The Proton Saga SV was presented at PROTON Edar Platinum Showroom in Mutiara Damansara by Chief Executive Officer of PROTON Edar, En. Hisham Othman. Also present were PROTON Holdings Berhad’s Executive Chairman, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hj Mohd Khamil Jamil and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Lukman Ibrahim.
With the unveiling, the new entry level variant is now officially open for booking, adding more options for A-segment customers, without compromising on quality, comfort, driving performance and safety. Powered by the same 1.3 litre Campro IAFM as Saga FLX, and available in manual and CVT automatic transmissions, the Saga SV is priced from RM33,438 (Peninsular Malaysia).
The Saga SV is fitted with 13” inch steel wheels, 1-din radio with CD player, power steering, manual side mirror control, side turn signal integrated with side mirror, dual airbag, pre-tensioner seatbelts, child restraint anchorage and car immobiliser.
The Saga remains PROTON’s best-selling model to date and is among the top selling models in Malaysia. The Saga FLX was recently awarded with 3-star rating by ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme besides being awarded the Most Fuel Efficient Car for small family car category by Asian Auto AmBank Fuel Efficiency Awards 2011, and Second Most Fuel Efficient Car for small family car category by Asian Auto AmBank Fuel Efficiency Awards 2012.
The Saga SV is available in six colours; Solid White, Elegant Brown, Tranquility Black, Genetic Silver, Fire Red and the latest edition – Blue Rock. It also comes with a three-year or 100,000km manufacturing warranty (whichever comes first).
