The No.1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro of André Lotterer, Benoît Tréluyer and Marcel Fässler came out on top of a three-way Audi battle for victory at the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, 65 seconds ahead of the No.2 and No.3 Audis. The Toyotas could only manage 4th as the lead Toyota went out of the race due to a brake failure. Pecom Racing’s No.49 ORECA 03 Nissan was victorious in the LMP2 category by 12.5 seconds, ahead of the No.24 OAK Racing and the No.38 Jota Zytek-Nissan.
In LMGTE Pro the No.51 AF Corse Ferrari of Gianmaria Bruni and Giancarlo Fisichella overcame various hurdles to win a close-fought battle with the No.98 Aston Martin Vantage and the No.71 Ferrari. The No.71 Ferrari of Kamui Kobayashi and Toni Vilander finished 3rd.
