This is an all new mini car from Subaru. The collaboration between Toyota and Subaru is now starting to show even more clearer with this ‘kei’ car from Subaru. Subaru is moving into the lucrative small car segment with another re-badge, re-engineered Daihatsu car from the Toyota stable.
It’s called the Pleo + and it’s based on the Daihatsu Mira e:S, which has also been transformed into a Toyota model called the Pixis Epoch.
Just like its sister cars, the Subaru version is powered by a 660cc engine producing 51 hp and mated only to a CVT.
It can even be fitted with all-wheel drive for some markets. It will compete directly with the Suzuki Alto, Honda Brio and all new Mirage.
