Japanese tuning house Mugen with the aid of a supercharger kit, has managed to increase the power of the 1.5-liter engine in the Honda CR-Z’s to 156 hp. This gives this hybrid a gain of 20 horsepower more and when the electric motor is fully contributing, it will produce a total of 176 hp. It also features slightly different exterior styling details, including a carbon fiber bonnet, different and more aggressive fog lamps, carbon wing mirror, large rear spoiler, revised bumpers and skirts, as well as special 17-inch rims, finished in dark matte grey. Inside, it gets new sports seats, alternative trim materials (with blue accents), as well as a boost gauge for the supercharger, mounted atop the center console. Only 300 will ever be made, all of which will probably be sold in Japan.
