Nur Hasmawati Mohd Yusof, 24 and Hoo Che Khong, 33 walked away with RM5, 000 each as they were chosen for Perodua’s ‘You Drive, You Win’ contest. “Winning this contest is a great surprise for me, what more winning a grand prize as I have never won any contests before. I just tried my luck by submitting the contest form after test driving a Perodua Myvi and was happy after being announced as the winner,” says Hasmawati, who owns a Perodua ViVA. “Insyaallah, my husband and I are planning to purchase a Myvi as we only have one car currently and we find it difficult to travel to our workplaces in separate locations at Parit Buntar Thank you Perodua!” she added.
Another lucky winner, Hoo who hails from Ulu Tiram, Johor was thrilled after being informed that he won the grand prize for this contest. Perodua Managing Director, Datuk Aminar Rashid congratulated all 27 lucky winners who won the contest today and thanked every participant for their interest in test driving or purchasing a Perodua model.
“This contest is a part of our ongoing promotional activities to keep up the public’s interest on our product line up. We will continue such activities and share our success story with all Malaysians Because You Matter Most,” he added.
A total of 16,000 entries were received nationwide during the contest period from 4 June to 30 June 2012. In total, 327 winners were chosen whereby 300 consolation winners will be announced by end of September. To participate, customers need to test drive or register any Perodua cars at any of its 183 authorized showrooms. They will be then entitled for a contest form to be filled in and dropped into the contest box at the outlet they visited. Among exciting prizes worth about RM100,000 offered are 2 cash prizes worth RM5, 000, 5 units of 46 inch LED TV, 10 units of Samsung Galaxy Note,10 units of Samsung Galaxy S Advance and 300 units of Petronas card worth RM100 each.
