Durability and fuel efficiency of the Isuzu FVR trucks have pushed their demand up since its introduction in April this year. Bookings of the trucks have been positive and Isuzu Malaysia is confident of achieving its target of 35 units this year based on the current trend of orders. The company recently began delivering the initial batch of vehicles that were assembled at the Isuzu-Hicom Malaysia plant in Pekan Pahang to customers around the country including its early fleet purchaser Integrated Cold Chain Logistics Sdn Bhd that took delivery of three units of the 18-ton vehicles.
According to Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Isuzu Malaysia Daisuke Ishida, bookings of the truck have been steadily increasing due to the product’s strong features and its solid reputation for fuel economy and dependability.
Commenting on the purchase of the Isuzu FVR, Managing Director of Integrated Cold Chain Logistics Kevin Lim said that the decision was based on the strong reputation of Isuzu and the good experience they enjoyed with previous Isuzu vehicles the company operated. The new Isuzu FVR is the latest medium-duty truck introduced by Isuzu Malaysia. Based on the sixth-generation model currently sold in Japan, the 18-ton truck features state-of-the-art design and engineering. It is hailed as the ideal choice for long-haul operations as it features a powerful 6-cylinder turbocharged engine mated to a very robust yet comfortable cab and chassis to provide drivers with hours of fatigue-free motoring.
