TomTom, has aannounced the launch of the TomTom Via 620 for the South East Asia market including Malaysia. The new TomTom Via 620 features the largest and sharpest screen ever offered on a TomTom global positioning system (GPS) device. The extra-large 6-inch screen also features TomTom’s highest resolution screen yet. The Via 620 screen offers incredible clarity, giving drivers a wider and clearer view when following on-screen route information, whether as a map plan or in 3D navigation view.
The larger screen also means bigger buttons and menus on the TomTom Via 620, making location input easier and faster, providing drivers with the ultimate stress-free and safe driving experience. The TomTom Via 620 also comes with the TomTom’s dual-mounting system, which gives drivers the choice of mounting their navigation on the dashboard or on the windscreen, thanks to a unique flip screen.
In addition, for the first time ever, the new TomTom Via 620 offers Malaysian drivers free lifetime updates for the maps of all seven South East Asia countries (namely Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Macau), which are pre-loaded on all TomTom GPS devices. TomTom releases four new maps each year.
From now till 31 October 2012, users are entitled to a Lifetime South East Asia Map Update Service Subscription, which gives TomTom users free lifetime updates of all seven South East Asia countries maps, with the purchase of any TomTom Via and GO series GPS.
The TomTom Via 620 also offers lifetime free daily map changes. Updates are based on reports from TomTom’s Map Share community of 21 million, and help drivers deal with frequent road changes such as new speed limits and blocked roads. The new TomTom Via 620 is available immediately from TomTom authorized retail outlets and TomTom’s first Concept Store in Asia Pacific located at Pikom ICT Mall CapSquare.
