The “Hublot Polo Cup”, hosted for the 16th year by the famous Swiss watchmaker Hublot, has become one of the key events in the international polo calendar and Bentley Motors and Bentley Geneva will be teaming up with Hublot again to support this leading, international equestrian event. Three teams, drawn from the best players in Europe and South America, will compete for the Cup and on Friday (August 19th) the traditional parade of all contenders will take place on the Promenade of this picturesque alpine resort.
As sponsor of the prestigious tournament, Bentley will bring its own unique and compelling form of horsepower to Gstaad. The 350 guests of the Gold Cup tournament will be able to take a first look at the potent new 567bhp (575 PS) Continental GT in the VIP tent. Combining elegant and innovative design with a high-performance 6-litre, twin turbo-charged engine, this dramatic supercar represents the new face of the famous British marque.
The limited edition Supersports Convertible ISR, the most powerful and radically styled Bentley drophead ever, and inspired by the company’s world ice speed record of 205.48 mph (330.695 km/h) set by Finland’s four-time world rally champion Juha Kankkunen, will also be on view in front of the Bentley pavilion in the Polo Village. Completing the line-up is Crewe’s luxurious flagship, the new hand-crafted 4-door Mulsanne.
Bentley will also be providing courtesy cars for the team captains and referees throughout the event – a welcome touch of luxury after a day competing in the saddle. Bentley Geneva will also have four models available for test drives and a further highlight will be the ‘Bentley Boys’ in their historic racing overalls acting as marque ambassadors.
