Tan Chong is set to further expand the current super popular Nissan Livina range with the addition of the new, sporty Livina X-Gear. Already a hit in some Africana and ASEAN nations, this SUV looking Livina X-Gear boasts strong SUV styling elements and sets its self apart from the rest of the Livina range with its robust roof rails and matt black over fenders, door guard finishers and side sill protectors. The Livina X-Gear also features a redesigned radiator grille and front bumper that exude a more aggressive stance as does the enhanced rear bumper.
Complementing the adventurous exterior design of the vehicle is an eager 1.6-litre petrol engine that produces 80kW of power at 6 000rpm and offers ample torque with 153Nm of torque at 4 400rpm. The Livina X-Gear’s engine is both light and quiet resulting in reduced noise, vibration and harshness. The Livina’s interior focuses on functional design for an active lifestyle. Chrome accents as well as black finishes and upholstery further enhance the sporty appeal of the Livina X-Gear. The rear seats split 60/40 and the front passenger seat can be tilted to transport lengthy items such as surf boards, wake boards or skis of up to 2.40m long. Additional storage compartments and cup holders for every occupant make the Livina X-Gear the perfect vehicle for those with an active lifestyle. The Livina X-Gear is fitted with electric windows and air conditioning while the Acenta+ is further enhanced by the addition of body colour door mirrors and an in-dash radio 6 CD front loading audio system. Driver airbags come standard on both the Livina X-Gear derivatives and comes standard with ABS brakes, Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist. A carefully designed suspension system with high body rigidity has resulted in impressive handling. The suspension system features struts in front and an H-shaped torsion beam layout at the rear with internal rebound springs and ripple-control shock absorbers, providing superior handling and stability at all speeds on any type of surface.
