LATE TAN SRI SM NASIMUDDIN BESTOWED POSTHUMOUS ‘BUSINESS VISIONARY’ AWARD BY NATIONAL PRESS CLUBThe late Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama SM Nasimuddin SM Amin, founder of the Naza Group of Companies, was recently bestowed the NPC (National Press Club) Business Visionary Award 2010, at the inaugural NPC-Naza Awards Night 2010 held at the JW Marriot Kuala Lumpur. Present at the event was the Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB. Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Hj Abdul Razak who presented the award to SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman of The Naza Group of Companies. Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin began his business with a small shop lot in Taman Maluri, Kuala Lumpur selling imported reconditioned cars in the ‘70s. With his leadership, passion and strong business acumen, the Naza Group grew into a conglomerate with diversified business interests, employing over 4000 Malaysians.‘His passion, vision and good business acumen were the strengths that set him apart. His determination made the Naza Group what it is today’ said SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin. ‘My father knew what he wanted to achieve and had a plan. He set the foundation upon which the Naza Group was built. It is this legacy that we strive continue’.
