The Vallelunga circuit hosted, last week, the official two-day test session of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe. A new attendance record was reached for the official testing session which, with just ten days before the 2015 Monza opening round, saw 28 drivers, 24 cars and 13 teams on track. All participants familiarized themselves with the new Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo, which is about to debut in the Sant’Agata Bolognese one-make series.
The 2015 Monza line-up promises an exciting grid comprised of up to 50% of new drivers and teams. About to debut in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europa are Antonelli Motorsport (ITA), Artline Team Georgia (GEO), Automobile Tricolore (ITA), Konrad Motorsport (GER), M-Tech (GBR), Raton Racing (ITA), Sportec Motorsport (SUI), Team Lazarus (ITA), Veloso Motorsport (POR) and VSR (ITA).
Among the new drivers joining the pack there will be an interesting mix of those with a solid backgrounds in GT Racing and youngsters with single-seater experience.
Along with the drivers involved in this year’s Super Trofeo, also attending the Vallelunga test event was Miloš Pavlović. The Serbian driver, 2014 World Final Champion along with Edoardo Piscopo and recently appointed as Lamborghini Squadra Corse official GT3 test driver, took over the development of the new Lamborghini Huracán GT3. Two GT3 cars will line up with the Austrian Grasser Grasser Racing Team on the same Monza weekend (11/12 April) in the Blancpain Endurance Series.
